Rail Traveling Coil Mounter
Engineered according to your specifications, West Bend Equipment rail travel coil mounters are built to handle a full range of coil sizes and weights. These multi-function machines are designed to accept palletized or unpalletized coils with the eye to the sky, tip 90 degrees to eye horizontal, lift the coil to align the eye with the mandrel and drive forward on the track to mount the coil. Slit coils can be removed by reversing this procedure.
We also offer a complete range of other coil handling equipment with capacities to 50 tons. Call West Bend Equipment for additional information on coil mounters and other custom-engineered material handling products.
Tow-Type Transfer Car
Fabricated of heavy-duty welded steel, the non-powered mold cart is a durable and inexpensive addition to your mold-transfer operation. The top platform is fitted with super-rail roller sections for precise mold positioning. Its load torque features a fabricated steel hitch pin at one end to allow the cart to be moved throughout the plant with a forklift or other material handling truck.

Free-Ranging Coil MounterThis free-ranging, custom-built coil mounter is designed to move easily throughout coil processing plants. Like West Bend Equipment’s rail-mounted models, these units are designed to handle a wide range of sizes and weights.
Available with 12- or 24-volt DC motors, these steerable, walk-along coil mounter units are ideal for handling steel and wire coils as well as rolled products like paper and plastic.
Standard features of these coil mounter units include batteries and built-in chargers.
Many options are available on West Bend coil mounters including non-marring surfaces to minimize damage to special materials.
These multi-function machines combine the benefits of fork trucks, upenders and coil cars to maximize productivity. They are designed to transport, tip 90 degrees, and mount palletized or unpalletized coils, whether single or stacked.
Coils in the eye to the sky position are loaded onto this unit and moved to the processing area. The coil is then tipped 90 degrees to the eye horizontal position. The coil is raised to align the eye with the centerline of the mandrel and moved forward. Slit or full coils are removed by reversing this procedure. |
We also offer a line of custom die carts, upenders, inverters transfer cars and lift tables engineered for your specific application.
