Because our customers' requirements vary considerably, our die handling systems are custom engineered to achieve the most effective clamping, positioning and feeding devices for your particular operation.  However, custom engineered does not necessarily mean very expensive.  We begin the design process with pre-engineered cart models.  Depending on the die/mold weight, speed of change and degree of automation required, we can customize our standard die and mold cart models to provide the features you need at an affordable price.

Some die carts and mold carts are track mounted; others are designed to be free ranging with a battery pack for driving independently of tracks or rails. 	Free Ranging Die Transfer Scissors Cart The West Bend Equipment scissors lift die cart features a powered walkie drive for in-plant maneuverability and a rigid chain-type die transfer device. This die cart also includes a powered extension bridge to meet up with the press bolster for ease of operation and quick die changes.
	Track Mounted Die Cart Built for precise die insertion, this track mounted die cart features a powered screw die transfer. Actuated by ball screws, it allows side loading from both sides of the die cart to allow for quick die change operations. Its track mounting also enables quick changeover for high volume operations in plants with multiple presses and storage racks.
	Model MDC 800 Mast Die Cart More maneuverable than a forklift, West Bend Equipment's end loading mast die cart features a hydraulic lift table, a roller conveyor die deck and a manual flipper-type die stop. Engineered specifically for end loading, the simple mechanical die stop helps ensure safe die and mold handling and quick die changes throughout your facility.
	Model LDC Dual Station Lift Die Cart With End Pay-Off Perfect for tight spaces around presses, this West Bend Equipment scissors lift die cart includes a powered walkie drive and turntable top. The rotating tabletop allows the old tool to be removed and the new tool rotated into position for insertion.
	Model LDC Single Station Lift Die Cart With Side Pay-Off Featuring a powered drive and hydraulic scissors lift table, this West Bend Equipment scissors lift die cart comes equipped with dual-gravity roller conveyor decks for efficient side loading. For greater side-loading stability, this die cart also features top and bottom captured rollers for easier mold handling. You will find the lift/lower controls on the tiller handle of the power head for convenient handling. For extra protection of the working mechanism, you can add the optional pleated accordion skirt.
	Dual Station Scissors Lift Die Cart Built for positioning dies in tight spaces, this West Bend Equipment dual deck scissors lift die cart features dual-decl, side-loading capability. It can also include a press bolster bridge extension to facilitate die transfer.
	Side Loading Mast Die Cart For safe die and mold handling transfers from press to press, this West Bend Equipment side-loading die cart features an automatic die transfer mechanism, which utilizes a ball screw and actuator. Its platform is positioned for easy side-loading capability.
	Model MDC Mast Die Cart Designed for uninterrupted operation and quick die changes, West Bend Equipment's dual deck mast die cart enables an old die to be removed and the new die to be loaded with minimal changeover time. Dual-tier end loading maximizes productivity.

	Kiefel Cart This Kiefel Cart, so called, because it services a Kiefel Mold Machine, was built for a tier-one auto parts manufacturer. The unit is rated at 2,200 pounds capacity. The molds are on 42” x 42” back plates and are horizontally split. Because the mold has to be inserted into the machine split (because the material feed system is in the way), this unit has a lower and upper deck to handle each half of the mold. The upper deck has vertical travel that is independent of the main mast in order to separate the molds or to put them back together. Both decks have a hydraulically powered mold transfer system. The mold decks are attached to a battery powered walk-behind power head.
	Mold Die Cart One West Bend customer recently implemented a quick mold changing system using a Model MDC 2500 mold cart. The cart had a number of features such as a ratchet operated centering guide and dual speed control for the forks (slow for mold and die handling, normal for general straddle truck use). The cart substantially reduces the time needed to change out molds, resulting in higher plant productivity. It also improves mold and die handling safety for personnel and reduces the chance for mold damage during mold and die handling. The picture on the left shows the mold and die cart in-position at the molding machine in preparation for extracting the mold.

	Model LDCTT Lift Die Cart For heavier dies, this self-propelled, end loading die cart features gravity rollers, a turntable and an electric winch for fast and secure transfer of 4,000-pound dies.
	Model LDC-PW Lift Die Cart Designed for a die/mold handling facility with remote die storage, this die cart provides a heavy-duty turntable and dual die decks with rollers to simplify transfer.
